Ο Χαρακτηνιώτης Χρήστος γεννήθηκε στα Καλάβρυτα από τον Κωνσταντίνο Χαρακτηνιώτη και την Λεχουρίτη Βασιλική. Είχε έξι αδέλφια: την Διαμάντω, την Μαρία, την Χριστίνα, τον Αλέξιο, τον Αναστάσιο και την Βασιλική. Ήταν άγαμος
Εκτελέστηκε από τους Γερμανούς στις 13-12-1943 στην Λάκκα του Καπή.
