Γεννήθηκε στα Καλάβρυτα από τον Γεώργιο και τη Βασιλική Μπρε. Είχε άλλα τρία αδέλφια: την Ιφιγένεια, την Αθηνά και τον Κωνσταντίνο. Νυμφεύτηκε την Αναστασία Νικολακοπούλου από τον Πύργο Ηλείας και απέκτησαν τέσσερα παιδιά: τον Γιώργο, τον Σωτήρη, τη Βάνα και την Αλεξάνδρα.
Εκτελέστηκε από τους Γερμανούς στις 13-12-1943 στην Λάκκα του Καπή.
